about

  • What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
One of the coolest things about Monster Jam is being able to travel the world! With that being said, I love trying local restaurants in each city we compete in!
  • Who are your role models?
Tom Meents and Dennis Anderson; they elevated the sport of Monster Jam together and paved the way for us new driver athletes.
  • Do you have any pre-event rituals you run through?
I always put my safety gear on in the exact same order and say a quick prayer to keep all of us Monster Jam athletes safe while competing.
  • What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
If I wasn’t driving Monster Jam trucks, I’d be playing basketball. I’m quite the basketball player.
  • What is your favorite memory on or off the racetrack?
My favorite memory is anytime I’m on the Monster Jam track. It’s been my dream and goal to compete with Monster Jam, so anytime I’m out on that arena floor in my Monster Jam truck, I’m living my dream and making memories.
  • What is your most prized possession?
My family; they’ve supported me my entire life and helped me achieve my goals anyway they could.

life on the road

  • What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
The best thing about being on the road with Monster Jam is meeting all of the awesome Monster Jam fans. Without fans in the stands there wouldn’t be athletes in the trucks. We owe it to them for supporting us and giving us the opportunity to compete! There is no worst part about being on the road, it’s Monster Jam!
  • While on tour, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
While on the road one of my favorite things to do in my free time is explore the city we’re in! Life is short so I try to soak as much in as possible!
  • How do you keep fit?
That’s easy. Monster Jam trucks are big; so are the tools we use to work on them. Each time I pick up a wrench, I’m working out. Joking aside, hitting up the gym and or swimming pool of the hotel the team is staying at is a must for me.
  • What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
My GPS, I’m terrible with directions!
  • What is your favorite city to travel to? Why?
Hard to pick my favorite city because anytime Monster Jam is in town it’s going to be larger than life. If I had to pick one, Houston, Texas. I’ve seen so many events in NRG Stadium and even the Astrodome, I’ve lost count. Hope to get the chance to compete in Houston one day!
  • What countries have you visited with Monster Jam?
The only countries I’ve been to so far are the United States and Canada.

career

  • How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
A long time ago, a four-year-old Alex Bardin fell in love with Monster Jam after attending his first event in the Houston Astrodome, and the rest is history. Hard work, dedication, and passion brought my opportunity to compete in Monster Jam. I started helping out independent teams for years before getting the offer to compete here at Monster Jam. I owe it to those independents that gave me my shot and taught me the ropes.
  • What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
Easy, meeting the fans. There’s no better feeling than putting a smile on a kid’s face. Kids look up to us driver athletes like we’re superheroes. Being able to use the platform of Monster Jam to serve as a positive role model to the kids is best part about competing in Monster Jam.
  • How would you describe your driving style?
    Calculated
  • What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
Best advice I could give anyone is never give up on your dreams. If you can dream it, you can achieve, and I’m living proof that dreams do come true when you work hard and never give up!
  • What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
Anytime that my mom and dad can make it to an event is a great memory. They used to take me Monster Jam when I was a kid. It’s so cool anytime they can come and see me compete now at Monster Jam. Funny how things come full circle sometimes!
  • Who in Monster Jam do you look up to for inspiration?
The professor, Tom Meents. He’s been at the top of the sport for so long and has inspired and taught so many of the next generation of Monster Jam athletes.
